The Farm at Butler is a one-acre sustainable agriculture project designed to educate Butler University and the Indianapolis community about sustainable agriculture and the local food system, and to serve as an example of urban agriculture through the exploration of local food production. This tour will “plant the seed” of inspiration as you learn about the importance of rich soil, companion planting, bees, and composting as you walk through over 200 varieties of vegetables, fruits, nuts, mushrooms, and flowering plants. Each participant will also get to plant an herb to take home.
