Exploring the Reggio Emilia Approach – Discussion and Tour of the Global Exhibition: Mosaic of Marks, Words, Material ~ Exhibition and Atelier – Cathy Hartman, College of Education and Joey Crume Hewitt, Educator  

November 18th - 9:00 am - 10:30 am ET,  South Campus, College of Education 

During this unique event, participants will learn about the history and education philosophy of the Reggio Emilia Approach created by Loris Malaguzzi after WWII to bring renewed educational change to the country and how it is translated to American education today. After the lecture, participants will be guided through the global exhibit “Mosaic of Marks, Words, Material,” an exhibition atelier that tells the story of research in Reggio Emilia’s infant-toddler centers and preschools on the theme of mark making and drawing woven with narrative.
